Job Description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Systems Integration Engineer – IT located in Chennai location.

We are building an internal capability to deploy and support the Litmus Edge platform across our global manufacturing sites. You will be the hands-on expert who gets sites connected, data flowing, and local teams enabled. You do not need prior Litmus experience. If you know OT/IT integration and industrial platforms, you will get up to speed quickly. What matters is that you have done this kind of work before on comparable technology.

Reports to the Director, and the role involves,

What a typical day looks like:

  • Deploy and configure Litmus Edge at manufacturing sites, connecting PLCs, SCADA, and historians to enterprise systems via standard industrial protocols.

  • Design Unified Namespace (UNS) structures aligned with ISA-95 to make plant-floor data usable at the enterprise level.

  • Integrate Litmus northbound with ERP/MES platforms (SAP, Oracle, Baan) and cloud targets (Azure, AWS, Snowflake).

  • Support sites post-deployment: troubleshoot integration issues, maintain configurations, and upskill local engineers.

  • Produce integration documentation, SOPs, and configuration guides that other teams can follow.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / management or equivalent.

  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, IT/OT integration, or IIoT platform deployment in a manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of industrial protocols: OPC UA/DA, MQTT, Modbus, Profinet, or Ethernet/IP.

  • Experience integrating OT systems (PLCs, SCADA, DCS, historians) with IT or cloud layers. The specific platform matters less than the experience pattern.

  • Familiarity with ISA-95, Industry 4.0 architecture, and edge computing concepts.

  • Comfortable working directly at manufacturing sites and translating technical work into clear documentation.

Nice to Have:

  • Direct experience with Litmus Edge, Ignition, Kepware, ThingWorx, AVEVA, or a comparable IIoT/edge platform.

  • Scripting skills in Python, Node-RED, or SQL for data transformation and pipeline tasks.

  • Basic understanding of OT cybersecurity principles, ISA/IEC 62443.

  • Exposure to cloud IoT services or time-series databases such as InfluxDB or OSIsoft PI.

What Good Looks Like:

You have delivered at least one IIoT or edge integration project end-to-end, from scoping through go-live, in a real manufacturing environment. You know what breaks, why it breaks, and how to fix it. You can explain what you built to both a plant manager and a cloud architect.

Here are a few examples of what you will get for the great work you provide:

  • Health Insurance

  • PTO
