Description

Markon is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 to support the Data Transformation Solutions (DTS) organization for the Fort Meade customer. This role combines systems engineering, project management, and customer engagement responsibilities to support end-to-end data flow initiatives. The role is responsible for defining requirements, developing implementation roadmaps, coordinating stakeholders, and overseeing the delivery of enterprise data transformation solutions. This role works directly with customers and technical teams to implement scalable data architectures and support mission-critical data integration efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Lead systems engineering and project management efforts for end-to-end data flow initiatives
  • Elicit, analyze, refine, and manage customer and system requirements
  • Develop work breakdown structures, project schedules, implementation roadmaps, and technical artifacts
  • Coordinate with customers and external stakeholders to define data requirements and mission objectives
  • Support the design and implementation of data flows, including transformation into standardized data models
  • Analyze data collection, processing, and integration requirements to support mission needs
  • Maintain an understanding of customer data flow architectures and associated dependencies
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams, mission partners, and leadership stakeholders
  • Track project status, risks, action items, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
  • Develop and deliver briefings, reports, and technical documentation
  • Support Agile development activities and contribute to strategic planning efforts
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer. 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of systems engineering, project management, or related experience
  • Strong project management skills, including requirements management, schedule development, and work breakdown planning
  • Experience supporting end-to-end data flow engineering, data integration, or data transformation initiatives
  • Working knowledge of data collection, processing, and analysis methodologies
  • Understanding of data flow architectures and the processes required to implement new data flows
  • Experience gathering and documenting technical requirements and coordinating across stakeholder groups
  • Experience building customer relationships and working directly with external mission partners
  • Experience working within Agile development environments
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex technical initiatives simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of National-to-Tactical integration architectures, structures, and relationships
  • Experience supporting enterprise data transformation, data integration, or data architecture initiatives
  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community data processing and dissemination workflows
  • Experience serving as a technical lead or senior systems engineer on large-scale integration efforts
  Salary RangeUSD $135,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
