Markon is seeking a System Engineer Level 3 to provide technical leadership for the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of mission-critical communications and networking systems for the Fort Meade Customer. This role leads the implementation of packet-based hardware and software solutions utilizing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) technologies while driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, and network components. The position serves as a senior technical authority responsible for ensuring interoperability, operational performance, system reliability, and mission success across complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systems
  • Provide technical leadership across all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle
  • Drive end-to-end systems integration efforts across hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure components
  • Develop and evaluate system architectures, technical solutions, and engineering strategies
  • Lead requirements analysis, system design reviews, and technical assessments
  • Oversee system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities
  • Ensure interoperability, performance, reliability, and security of deployed solutions
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, engineering teams, vendors, and mission partners to support program objectives
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, implementation plans, and technical roadmaps
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on systems engineering best practices
  • Support technology modernization and system enhancement initiatives
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with ths customer 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field required
  • 20+ years of systems engineering experience supporting complex communications, networking, or enterprise technology environments
  • Experience leading the design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of packet-based systems
  • Extensive experience with COTS and GOTS hardware and software solutions
  • Strong experience driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, and network components
  • Experience developing system architectures, technical roadmaps, and engineering solutions
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements management, and lifecycle processes
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, mission-focused environment supporting critical operations
Salary RangeUSD $200,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
