We're looking for a Systems Engineer who's passionate about modern enterprise platforms, automation, identity management, and AI-enabled operational tooling. In this role, you'll lead complex technical projects, build scalable integrations, and help evolve the systems that power employee productivity and business operations across Braze.

You'll own projects from idea to delivery, automate wherever possible, and partner across Security, Engineering, People, Finance, and IT to ensure our platforms remain secure, reliable, efficient, and user-friendly. You'll have the opportunity to shape how enterprise systems, identity, automation, and emerging AI capabilities come together to create exceptional employee experiences.

You'll be part of a team that values reliability, resiliency, scalability, and extensibility in everything we build. We operate with a shared sense of ownership and purpose, supporting one another's growth, holding a high bar for quality, and working together to deliver impactful solutions for our users and the business. Collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence define how we show up for each other and for the company.

If you thrive on solving complex systems challenges, simplifying manual processes, and enabling the business through thoughtful automation and platform engineering, we'd love to meet you.

What you’ll work on

You’ll own and drive projects that define the next generation of IT at Braze, including:

  • Identity & Access Management:
    • Design and enhance automated provisioning, deprovisioning, access governance, and lifecycle management workflows using Okta, SCIM, APIs, and workflow automation tools. Improve security, reduce manual effort, and strengthen audit readiness across the organization.
  • Enterprise Platforms & Collaboration Tools:
    • Design, administer, and improve critical business platforms including Google Workspace, Atlassian, Slack, GitHub, and identity services. Ensure systems remain scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business requirements.
  • AI-Enabled Operations & Productivity:
    • Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI-powered capabilities that improve internal workflows, service delivery, self-service experiences, and employee productivity. Help establish best practices for responsible adoption of AI within enterprise systems and operations.
  • Device Trust & Secure Access:
    • Partner with Security and Infrastructure teams to strengthen device trust, identity-based access controls, and secure access initiatives across endpoint management and authentication platforms.
  • Self-Service IT:
    • Design workflows that reduce manual ticket handling and empower employees through self-service capabilities, automated approvals, lifecycle workflows, and intelligent service experiences.
  • Audit Readiness & Governance Automation:
    • Partner with Security and Compliance teams to automate evidence collection, access reviews, reporting, and control validation across enterprise systems. Improve visibility, consistency, and operational maturity.
  • Innovation & Emerging Technology:
    • Research and evaluate new technologies, platform capabilities, and automation opportunities. Bring forward ideas that improve scalability, reduce operational overhead, and enhance the employee experience.

What you’ll do

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and support of enterprise systems with a focus on scale, reliability, security, and automation.
  • Build integrations and automation workflows across identity, collaboration, productivity, and service management platforms.
  • Partner with Security to strengthen identity governance, access controls, device trust, and compliance initiatives.
  • Evaluate and operationalize AI-enabled solutions that improve internal processes and employee productivity.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
  • Document, communicate, and implement changes following established governance, change management, and compliance practices.
