The Systems Designer I position is an entry level Designer position, responsible for learning and performing basic low voltage systems design related tasks under the direct guidance of upper level Design/ Engineering staff, as assigned by the Corporate Engineering Director or Vice President.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 1-3 years of Low Voltage Systems installation experience, and general background and/or interest in learning and applying Low Voltage systems design principles

or

Education: Associates Degree in Electrical Technology

Experience: 2 years of Low Voltage Systems installation experience, and general background and/or interest in learning and applying Low Voltage systems design principles

BICSII technician or NICET Level I certified, combined with demonstrated design aptitude preferred

Travel: 10-15%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Overtime may be required. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under direct supervision, assists in the preparation of designs for low voltage specialty system installations.
  • Interacts with support staff on a daily basis.
  • Checks drawings against design input for accuracy.
  • Consistently follows Faith Technologies established design standards.
  • Actively participates in continued education efforts.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
