Job Description

  • Design, implement, and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and domain/ sub-domain structures.
  • Perform server installations, updates, migrations, patching, and troubleshooting across Windows and Linux environments. 
  • Maintain and optimize network infrastructure (LAN/ WAN, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching) ensuring high availability and security.
  • Manage Microsoft Azure environments, including VMs, virtual networks, storage, and identity services.
  • Administer and maintain on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Monitor system performance using monitoring tools and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting tools.
  • Ensure system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/ IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Support and optimize virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
  • Manage network security policies, access controls, and identity management solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration and project delivery.
  • Lead or support IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external service providers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized professional institute.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in system and network engineering or administration roles.
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken.
  • Strong technical expertise in Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management, and domain/ sub-domain design and administration. Proven experience in server management (upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting), network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs), Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, identity, monitoring), and virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, automation, task scheduling, Linux system administration, SQL Server configuration, Performance tuning and familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, and Azure Monitor, etc. with experience in backup solutions like Veeam and Azure Backup or similar.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, along with an understanding of DevOps practices and tools will be an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and documentation skills are essential. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure (Administrator/ Solutions Architect), Cisco (CCNA/ CCNP), and VMware (VCP) are highly desirable.

Skills Required
