About this opportunity:
The Core Network Engineering Unit at Ericsson is at the forefront of driving innovation in the Packet Core domain, playing a pivotal role in our technology leadership. As part of the Packet Core team, you'll be instrumental in securing our market leadership in 5G, while continuously investing in sustainable technology solutions within a fiercely competitive market. A key element in our 5G strategy is the development and enhancement of the Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), which is crucial for managing network sessions in a dynamic mobile broadband environment.
Packet Core System & Technology has undergone a strategic reorganization, uniting System Managers and System Architects into a single entity. This cohesive organization is dedicated to fulfilling the system-level technical requirements across the entire lifecycle of our packet core products.
We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced System Architect to work within business logic areas of Packet Core systems - AMF. System is built in cloud native environment based on Kubernetes and Helm.
In this role, you will shape the technical vision and mission of our network systems, contribute to product evolution plans, and ensure the accuracy of system requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:• Collaborating on product evolution plans and roadmaps.• Providing insights from both functional and platform perspectives.• Formulating and validating system requirements.• Overseeing project artifacts and feature perspectives.• Supporting technical excellence throughout the product lifecycle.• Providing technical guidance to multi-functional teams.• Assisting in technical problem-solving for customer issues.• Participating in customer meetings and technical discussions.• Addressing architectural issues and system critical features.• Contributing to standardization efforts internally and externally.• Engaging in End-to-End (E2E) studies, including Network Slicing or Exposure
You will bring• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical field.• Proven experience in Telecom area • Hands-on and proven experience & knowledge in one of the mentioned areas: • System management and architecture• 3GPP • Packet Core • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.• Familiarity with standardization processes and the mobile broadband standard.
Job Stage Description
The position is open for JS 6 or JS 7 depending on the candidate's experience.
Place of work: Kraków, office presence 3 days a week is required.
