PEU RAN Performance PEG3 is part of Integrated RAN in BA Networks and responsible for driving Baseband software product development end to end by having competence and capability to take on full feature responsibility.
As a Baseband Software Tester, you will work in a team that has the responsibility for developing 5G Baseband and Cloud RAN software products. That means testing and integrating advanced signal-processing functions and algorithms in a cycle and memory constrained real-time environment. The test environment is both simulated and true e2e including Core Network, Radio Access nodes and real or simulated mobile phones.
You will experience a truly collaborative and supportive environment, both in terms of tools and colleagues. And you will have lots of fun.
PEU RAN Performance is located mainly on different sites in Sweden, Canada, China, US and Poland. This position is situated in Kraków, Poland.
What you will do:
• Write inventive, high quality, clean, optimized test code for use in verification and continuous integration• Maintain and improve the quality of L1 and L2 part of the Baseband product by securing legacy coverage in test loops• Drive systemization of 5G features as well as follow-up actual performance• Break down features and create feature anatomies, determine impact on system documentation and update it• Write demo instructions and customer documentation, systemization of multithreaded and multicore systems• Drive continuous improvements of products, environments, and processes• Make sure that the right test environment is available in time, both the actual test platform in the lab and the test environment with tools and automation frameworks
The skills you bring:
• Interest in and a drive to learn software test and integration• BSc level (MSc preferred) in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge• Basic understanding or some experience with NR (New Radio) system concepts, verification processes, and troubleshooting.• Familiarity or coursework experience with test equipment handling and management. • Readiness to learn deeper technical details of NR baseband architecture and its components (e.g., UL, DL, PHY layers, MAC, Layer 3)• Exposure to or willingness to learn test tools used for radio network products (such as UE Simulators, protocol analyzers, signal generators, radio channel simulators). • Interest in working with NR RBS on block, subsystem, and node levels. • Understanding of, or enthusiasm to learn, relevant 3GPP specifications.
We work in a hybrid model - 3 days from the office weekly.
