Leidos’ Corporate Information Security Office, within the Digital Sector, is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support multiple mission-focused programs and projects at the Liberty Center location in Chantilly, Virginia.

In this role, you will provide technical analysis, planning, engineering, design, implementation, and operational support for Microsoft Windows Server and workstation environments. This position will play an integral role in modernizing interconnected wide area networks, implementing evolving customer requirements, and integrating acquired or merged systems and assets.

You will serve as a technical expert for complex operating systems and enterprise applications. Responsibilities include evaluating system requirements, developing technical specifications, recommending system redesigns and configuration changes, resolving complex technical issues, and providing project leadership to maintain a high level of service for internal and external customers.

Location: All work will be performed on-site in Chantilly, VA.

Clearance:  You must currently hold active Top Secret/SCI clearance and be eligible to obtain Polygraph.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support multiple mission programs and projects located at the Chantilly facility.

  • Design, plan, implement, configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server and workstation environments.

  • Configure and deploy Windows servers, Windows workstations, and client software within network domain environments.

  • Maintain and configure local area networks and provide support for interconnected WAN environments.

  • Serve as a technical subject-matter expert for complex operating systems, system applications, and enterprise infrastructure.

  • Evaluate system requirements and determine the technical feasibility of proposed solutions.

  • Develop system specifications, implementation plans, and technical recommendations.

  • Recommend redesign, configuration, and performance improvements for operating systems and applications.

  • Maintain the availability, reliability, security, and performance of supported systems.

  • Perform operating system patching, security configuration, and remediation activities to ensure Windows endpoints remain secure and current.

  • Review and remediate vulnerability findings in coordination with cybersecurity personnel.

  • Collaborate with the Information System Security Manager to maintain system compliance with applicable government security standards.

  • Support Active Directory, Domain Name System, Microsoft Exchange, and multifactor authentication services.

  • Administer environments containing multiple Active Directory forests.

  • Manage and maintain workstation, server, storage, and printer hardware.

  • Support enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability capabilities.

  • Support enterprise storage solutions, including NetApp or Dell EMC technologies.

  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, operating system, network, and application issues.

  • Integrate newly acquired or merged systems and assets into existing enterprise environments.

  • Document system configurations, technical procedures, risks, issues, and operational status.

  • Provide timely status updates to program leadership, customers, cybersecurity personnel, and other stakeholders.

  • Provide technical and project leadership for system administration initiatives.

  • Deliver responsive, professional support to internal and external customers.

  • Participate in technical training and hands-on learning to develop proficiency with new technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant information technology experience. Additional relevant experience, training, or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • United States citizenship.

  • Must hold current and active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with willingness and ability to successfully complete and maintain a polygraph.

  • Current DoD 8570 IAM Level I and/or IAT Level II compliant certification, as required for the position.

  • System administration experience in Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating system environments.

  • Experience administering Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2016, and Windows Server 2019 +.

  • Experience with Windows Server administration and a demonstrated desire to develop deeper Windows engineering expertise.

  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, and Microsoft Exchange Server.

  • Experience managing and maintaining workstation, server, and printer hardware.

  • Experience with enterprise patch-management solutions.

  • Experience patching systems and remediating vulnerability findings.

  • Ability to configure and support Windows systems in a network domain environment.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range:Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
