About this Opportunity:
In the role of SVP, Head of Strategy, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing market trends in the wealth tech industry, creating competitive product comparisons, and identifying industry developments to help inform strategic decision-making within the organization. This role involves crafting actionable insights from market and competitor analysis to inform decision-making. This role position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, the ability to execute high-priority initiatives, and a deep understanding of the wealth tech industry including a background in research and competitive intelligence. For External Candidates:
Candidates must work in-office at one of the following locations for at least 3 days per week: Omaha, NE; Berwyn, PA; Sacramento, CA; Hebron, KY

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Develop and execute competitive and market intelligence, including market analysis, positioning, and growth opportunities

  • Collaborate with the executive team to set strategic priorities and monitor progress against key objectives

  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations

  • Establish processes for collecting and synthesizing intelligence

  • Deliver comprehensive reports and executive briefings

  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to identify potential threats and opportunities

  • Collaborate with finance, product, marketing, and other teams to ensure strategic initiatives are well-integrated and supported across Orion

  • Prepare and coordinate materials for executive meetings, board presentations, and other high-level engagements

  • Oversee special projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO and CFO

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, investors, and industry leaders to advance the company's strategic objectives

We're looking for talent who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degrees are highly preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, competitive intelligence or market research, or a related field, with a strong background in the WealthTech, fintech, or financial services industries

  • Superior financial analysis and modeling experience

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable strategies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Ability to tell the story through presentations is critical

  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Salary Range:

$153,917.00 - $250,883.00

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, Orion offers a competitive benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, and disability coverage on day one, 401(k) plan with employer match, paid parental leave, pet benefits including pawternity leave and pet insurance, student loan repayment and more.
