The Sustainability Manager builds and maintains relationships with regulators, NGOs, and corporate partners, and oversees carbon reduction, offsetting, and certification processes. The role also leads the preparation of annual sustainability and ESG reports for management and stakeholders, while mentoring and supervising Sustainability Officers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
3–5 years of progressive experience in sustainability, ESG strategy, or environmental management preferred.
Proven leadership in managing multi-stakeholder sustainability programs, corporate ESG initiatives, or large-scale environmental projects.
Advanced knowledge of ESG reporting, carbon accounting, sustainability strategy, and environmental regulations.
Strong understanding of UN SDGs, circular economy, carbon credits/offsetting, carbon credit verification, and community development programs.
Professional sustainability or ESG certification (e.g., GRI Standards, ISO 14001, LEED, CSR certification).
Project/program management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) preferred.
Training in stakeholder engagement, corporate governance, or sustainability leadership is considered an asset.
Familiarity or interest in renewable, solar solutions, climate change, green cooling, and green technologies is an added advantage.
