Manages the Supply Chain Management functions and strategy to support of the Luanda, Angola based operation. Functions includes but are not limited to leading the SCM function and operation area, manage initiatives and build organization in line with strategy, manage demand, procurement, sourcing, supplier management, material planning, work order management, warehouse management, logistic and shipping/receiving.
This position has management and supervisory responsibilities.
ResponsibilitiesManage and develop the Supply Chain function in line with business strategy and needs.
Build and manage a professional SCM organization that understands the operation and provides leadership to individuals, groups and the management team
Understand requirements to best utilize resources, technology and the ERP system
Build plans and SCM strategy aligned with and in support of operational plans and objectives
Define and maintain KPIs to manage and support the business objectives and growth, utilize MDI
Ensure a high ethical standard and compliance with rules and regulation, in all what the business does
Maintain supply chain processes and practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
Develop and support global inventory strategy for material and finished goods.
Develop and maintain control of own budgets and financial projects and cost centers
Understands financial variances, identifies and implements corrective actions to minimize variances and manage monthly financial reporting.
Support and utilize global SCM resources to achieve global objectives.
Engage and motivate organization to optimize processes and drive efficiency and accountability
Cooperate with Purchasing Director, Category management and leadership team & support sourcing strategy
Develop and maintain a strong supply base.
Establish and manage ERP settings as Item Master Attributes to execute changes and strategies in operation.
Drive improvement processes and lead implementation of new tools and functionality. Contribute to leading any organizational changes required
Lead change management initiatives related to SCM and support processes related to the workshops
Manage and lead Planning organization in line with the operational requirements and needs.
Manage and lead SCM teams that perform daily SCM activities such as sourcing, purchasing, warehousing, receiving, compliance, logistic, inventory management.
Proactively provide input to organization on SCM and suppliers performance and other leadership information and KPIs. Develop and execute on plans to drive improvements and efficiency.
Ensure that the SCM organization operate safely and maintain a high-quality standard in all we do.
Continuously make sure that facility, tools and equipment are at a high standard and suitable for a safe and efficient operation.
Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in Supply Chain Management & Leadership related experience in a job-shop, or project management environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
APIC’s or similar certification strongly desired.
Experience in Oil and Gas industry preferred.
