Position Overview: 

The Supply Chain Intern will support the Supply Chain and Purchasing teams through ERP integration activities, data cleansing and validation initiatives, purchasing process support, and continuous improvement projects. This role provides hands-on experience with supply chain operations, procurement processes, ERP systems, material planning, supplier management, and data governance.

The intern will work closely with Purchasing, Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve data accuracy, support system implementation activities, and help drive operational efficiency.

Essential Functions:

  • ERP Integration Support
  • Assist with ERP implementation and integration activities, including data validation and system testing.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and document findings.
  • Verify item master data, supplier records, and purchasing data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with migration of supply chain and purchasing data between systems.
  • Help identify and resolve ERP data discrepancies.
  • Maintain documentation related to ERP processes, workflows, and system changes.
  • Data Cleansing & Data Governance
  • Review and cleanse item master records.
  • Validate supplier and vendor information.
  • Audit ERP data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Assist with standardization of naming conventions, units of measure, lead times, and purchasing attributes.
  • Analyze data integrity issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Create reports and dashboards to monitor data quality metrics.
  • Purchasing & Procurement Support
  • Assist buyers with purchase order processing and maintenance.
  • Monitor purchase order acknowledgments and supplier confirmations.
  • Support supplier communication regarding delivery schedules and order status.

Internship Projects to include:

  • Participate in supply chain process improvement initiatives.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes.
  • Assist with workflow optimization and standard work development.
  • Support cross-functional projects related to procurement, planning, and supply chain operations.
  • ERP Integration

Required Qualifications:  

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, D365, QAD, Infor, etc.)
  • Experience with: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Power BI
  • Understanding of purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain concepts

Student co-ops or interns typically work on specific projects or tasks that contribute to the organization’s goals. This may range from supporting larger projects to handling smaller, individual assignments.  
  • Hours: Co-ops and Interns are expected to work a full 40-hour work week
  • Feedback and Performance Reviews: As a co-op or intern, you will receive feedback and performance reviews throughout your assignment. We value the importance for interns to understand their progress and areas for improvement. 

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00 per hour.  The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on multiple factors including year in school/credits earned, degree, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. 

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
