Veterinary Specialty Hospital North County is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Team.

The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the hospital’s daily supply chain operations, including purchasing, receiving, inventory accuracy, vendor coordination, and medical equipment support.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with some flexibility.
Pay range: $30–$35 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate inventory levels by establishing par levels, monitoring usage trends, and ensuring essential supplies are available when needed
  • Places routine and special-order supply requests, reconciles packing slips and purchase orders, and helps resolve purchasing, receiving, and invoice discrepancies
  • Coordinates shipping, receiving, and storeroom organization to support timely, accurate deliveries and efficient hospital operations
  • Monitors slow-moving, expired, and safety stock inventory and supports weekly cycle counts, mid-year inventory, and year-end physical audits
  • Maintains working knowledge of veterinary and medical supplies and equipment, including basic maintenance needs, service coordination, and equipment-related follow-up
  • Coordinates with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to support supply availability, equipment repair or replacement needs, and account management
  • Supports budget awareness and capital expense planning by gathering information, coordinating quotes, and assisting with approved purchasing processes
  • Identifies opportunities to improve purchasing, inventory control, equipment tracking, and supply chain workflows
  • Assists in developing and maintaining purchasing, inventory, and equipment-related policies and procedures
  • Attends scheduled meetings and collaborates with the regional supply chain team and hospital leadership

About you:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in veterinary medicine, medical operations, supply chain, inventory, purchasing, or equipment coordination preferred
  • Knowledge of veterinary or medical equipment, supply needs, maintenance coordination, and vendor follow-up strongly preferred
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and purchasing or inventory systems
  • Ability to sit or stand, reach with arms and hands, bend at the waist, and lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted as needed
  • Occasional travel to other Ethos hospitals may be required
