The Supply Chain and Logistics Specialist  is responsible for assisting our Supply Chain in various related tasks including import and logistics operations.

This position reports to the Materials Supervisor and is part of the Supply Chain located in San Jose and will be an on-site role.     

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, support decision-making, prevent part shortages, and optimize inventory through forecasting and performance tracking.   
  • Support the sourcing department by assisting in procurement from U.S.-based and global suppliers and helping key team members with daily operations and strategic projects. Develop and maintain reporting systems and tools, including daily/weekly OTD reports and Kanban processes, to ensure production plans and operational targets are met.  
  • Manage inventory and material flow by identifying reduction opportunities, improving processes, and aligning inventory levels to meet On-Time Delivery (OTD) goals. Responsible for supporting on time delivery and customs clearance through exception reporting and discrepancy resolution.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customs broker inquiries to confirm availability of requested information and coordinate responses. Take on additional responsibilities from Operations management.  
  • Partner with Trade Compliance to obtain and communicate information required for customs clearance. Coordinate with suppliers and shippers to obtain complete and compliant commercial documentation, as identified by Trade Compliance.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with background in procurement, inventory control, and planning. Familiarity with import documentation and customs clearance workflows, including working with customs brokers and logistics providers.
  • Strong ability to work with large datasets and present insights in a clear, concise manner.   
  • Proven experience managing complex tasks such as project management, forecasting, and planning.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and Oracle, with strong attention to record accuracy and multitasking, strong customer service and communication skills.   
  • Results-driven and continuous improvement mindset, with experience in Kaizen, Kanban, and lean principles.   

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Supply Chain/Purchasing
  • Kanban
  • Import Logistics

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
