THE JOB:
The Supply Chain Analyst plays a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making within the procurement and sourcing functions at MGM Resorts International. This position involves collecting, preparing, and analyzing spend, supplier, and inventory data to deliver routine reporting, support performance metrics tracking, and develop business insights aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Working under the guidance of senior analysts and managers, the Analyst contributes to procurement strategy execution, contract analysis, and sourcing support while maintaining data integrity and collaborating with cross-functional teams. THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Prepare, validate, and format data extracts from Coupa, Oracle, and other source systems to support spend and supplier analysis
Maintain and refresh standard reports and dashboards to track KPIs such as savings realization, category performance, and supplier compliance
Perform basic analyses such as historical spend trends, vendor utilization, and variance reporting
Assist in gathering data for total cost of ownership models, should-cost exercises, and other strategic sourcing tools
Collaborate with senior analysts to prepare charts, graphs, and summary slides for presentations
Troubleshoot data discrepancies and support root cause analysis under guidance from senior team members
Support ad hoc data requests from sourcing, finance, and operations
Participate in system testing, data clean-up, or metric definition projects as assigned
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
1+ years of prior relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, data analysis, or finance is required
Experience preparing reports, working with large datasets, and supporting business decision-making through data is required
Bachelor's Degree Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred
Experience with SQL, Excel and PowerBI highly preferred
