Job Description


Peterson Cat Power Systems has the immediate need for an experienced Supply Chain Analyst based at our Hillsboro, OR location.

The Mission Critical Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for managing the Caterpillar (CAT) equipment supply pipeline and coordinating the distribution of equipment to packagers and job sites, working closely with CAT and third-party vendors to meet the needs of major accounts assigned to the Mission Critical Sales team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manage CAT equipment supply pipeline for major account(s) assigned to the Mission Critical Sales team.
  • Work closely with CAT, the Mission Critical Sales team, and customers to ensure alignment of CAT’s production schedule with the Mission Critical production plan and customer needs.
  • Confirm CAT build specifications and pricing are consistent with internal configuration, pricing, and quoting (CPQ) specifications.
  • Coordinate the distribution of CAT equipment to packagers and job sites and all other shipping related project logistics for assigned accounts.
  • Identify supply chain bottlenecks and improvement opportunities; communicate with stakeholders and propose solutions.
  • Monitor performance of vendors in the supply chain and collaborate with them to resolve problems.
  • Utilize project management software to issue purchase orders.
  • Provide supply chain support and estimates to the Sales team.
  • Negotiate with freight carriers on prices, service arrangements, and other terms and conditions.
  • Maintain contract requirements documentation and provide to stakeholders as needed.
  • Assist the Mission Critical Sales team in pre-sale meetings and project development.
  • Continue education and training as a self-directed learner to keep pace with current technology impacting Mission Critical business.
  • Prepare for and attend project meetings as requested at customer locations, job sites, and Peterson offices.
  • Travel away from base location up to 20% of the time to visit job sites, attend customer and vendor meetings, and attend meetings at Peterson locations.
  • Operate personal vehicle as needed.
  • Maintain regular, punctual, and predictable attendance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide back up and be a resource to team members in areas of experience and expertise.
  • Partner with customers, embrace customer goals, and engage with key stakeholders and suppliers to meet the customer’s goals.
  • Maintain notes for continuous improvement on future projects.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Business or other closely related field; and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or other closely related field, preferably in the electrical power generation industry; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
