KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise, train, provide performance feedback, and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Work with customers directly to manage escalations
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain records on required documents; and resolve all issues to obtain customs clearance
  • Understand customer’s business, requirements, and rate structure; issue invoices for services rendered and accrue costs in system
  • Support internal/customer metrics
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Make recommendations to continuously improve processes and team efficiency
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
  • 5 years’ import/export or logistics management environment experience
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, communications, and planning
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
  • Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast-paces, highly visible, and changing environment
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, autonomy, and initiative without daily interaction with management
