As an Interaction Designer for Emergency Care, you will collaborate with our existing team of experienced designers in their process to define, design, and document all user-experience and interface related aspects of our products.
With a focus on mobile and web software applications, you will gain valuable experience supporting both UI and UX elements across a variety of Emergency Care products and work closely with software engineering, marketing, and clinical teams to generate creative solutions that enhance the user experience.
You will be responsible for maintaining Stryker’s visual design brand language related to user interface design and functionality while working as a part of a cross-functional product design and development team to advocate for the end user of our products.

- Problem-solving techniques, with a focus on human-centered design thinking
- Processes involved in crafting successful design sprints
- Information architecture, user and task flow diagrams, and interaction modeling techniques
- How to use and maintain design systems, and establishing clear visual brand language across ecosystem of software products
- Develop an understanding of how to conduct user research and contextual interviews

What you need:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Foundational skills in digital prototyping, creative problem solving, and ux/ui workflows. Bonus points if experienced in user research!
- Proficiency with Figma, AI plugins or software, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools preferred.
- A portfolio demonstrating clear process and rationale, design thinking, and intentional choices that stemmed from an openness to feedback.
$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
