Job Description

As a Sub Region Manager, you will lead a team of Contracts & Negotiations professionals and be responsible for managing complex commercial contract negotiations across an assigned territory. You will collaborate closely with Business Units, Legal, Sales, Pricing, and Senior Leadership to support business growth while effectively managing contractual risk.

You will report to the Regional Contracts Manager-AP and work in India a Hybrid environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Contracts & Negotiations professionals, serving as the primary escalation point for contractual matters.

  • Negotiate and draft complex commercial agreements including sales agreements, license agreements, construction contracts, subcontract agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.

  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate commercial, legal, and contractual risks while providing strategic guidance to internal stakeholders.

  • Partner with Business Units, Legal, Sales, and other functions to obtain approvals for non-standard contractual terms in accordance with company policies.

  • Act as a trusted business advisor by providing contractual guidance, ensuring compliance with company standards, and supporting business objectives throughout the contract lifecycle.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in law, Business, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial contracts, negotiations, and contract management.

  • Proven experience leading and developing teams in a contract, legal, or commercial environment.

  • Strong understanding of contract law, risk assessment, and commercial negotiation strategies.

  • Ability to travel occasionally as business needs require.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Law Degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent).

  • Experience supporting industrial automation, manufacturing, engineering, or technology businesses.

  • Expertise in negotiating complex customer and subcontractor agreements.

  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.

  • Industry knowledge in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, or related markets.

  • Experience developing training programs and mentoring contract professionals.
