The Opportunity
We offer a 6 months internship position (with the possibility to extend up to one year) as a collaboration between the Translational Pharmacology Department within Oncology Discovery and the Data & Analytics group, both part of pharma Research and Early Development (pRED) division in Roche Pharma. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of pharma and technology, contributing to the transformation of a vast amount of data collected over the last years into valuable insights that drive innovation in cancer research.
Primary Responsibilities:

Engage in the curation and quality improvement of large-scale, high-dimensional biological data, to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Explore opportunities for automation to streamline data curation processes.

Transform legacy studies to adhere to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and assess their suitability for cross-study comparisons.

Optionally, develop a dashboard for visualizing study designs, enhancing data accessibility and interpretation.

Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of biology and analytics experts, requiring frequent communication and coordination.

Present your work-in-progress and final results to the team and broader audiences, showcasing your contributions to our research efforts.
Your Profile:
You are a Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Life Sciences or other sciences or you've completed your studies within the 12 months. You show a demonstrated interest in drug development and are eager to dive into the world of oncology pharmacology. Skills or experiences in digital sciences and/or innovation are a plus.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

Strong interest in research at the interface of pharma and technology.

Knowledge of oncology and in vivo experiments is a plus.

Basic programming experience is advantageous.

Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
