The Role

Job Description:

The Student Affairs Specialist works independently to handle all administrative aspects of two Master’s programs in the Department of Computer Science. The incumbent works directly with the Directors of Graduate Studies (DGS) for the Computer Science and Cyber Master’s programs, the Department Chair, the School of Professional Studies, and the Registrar, among other offices on campus, to implement curricular directives and mandates to meet program goals. 

This position works closely with the Academic Department Manager and other staff members to ensure faculty and students are supported.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of administrative experience or an equivalent combination of work experience and education.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience with event planning and scheduling.
  • Demonstrated ability to use judgment and discretion while working independently or with a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize between a variety of often competing demands.
  • Client-centered orientation with impeccable customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft and Google programs.
