What you need to be part of the /Associates Program: experience as a former staff employee of R/GA or as a former freelancer for R/GA with at least three separate bookings and/or a project that lasted 12+ weeks consecutively. 

R/GA’s Strategy Department encompasses Brand Strategy, Strategy, and Experience Strategy. Our Experience Strategy practice focuses on ensuring the user is represented in both strategy and product or service design, working closely with companies to understand users and create strategies for meaningful user experiences. Our Brand Strategy team serves as innovation consultants on our Brand Design & Consulting team, forging partnerships with clients in various industries to navigate their evolving business landscapes. Finally, our Strategy team collaborates closely with media and analytics to create impactful, integrated, and measurable strategic platforms, serving as thought leaders who uncover cultural insights and drive innovation for brands.

Here’s what you should know if you want to be an /Associate for our Strategy Craft:

Brand Strategists:

  • Serve as innovation consultants, forging partnerships with clients to navigate their evolving business landscapes.
  • Develop aspirational big ideas and strategies to transform entire categories.
  • Collaborate with analysts, experience designers, and creatives to uncover whitespace opportunities and contribute to actionable strategies.

Experience Strategists:

  • Design and conduct research to uncover new opportunities and understand user insights.
  • Craft strong strategic arguments and presentations that drive innovation and inform user experiences.
  • Lead clients into new strategic areas and contribute to the strategic direction of client work.
  • Manage multiple clients and projects, demonstrating strong leadership skills.

Strategists:

  • Work closely with media and analytics to create impactful, integrated, and measurable strategic platforms.
  • Find the best approach to clearly present data that drives innovation.
  • Uncover cultural insights that surface opportunities and meaning for brands.
  • Create detailed, yet simple presentations that tell stories and provide recommendations.

The ideal person:

  • Has exceptional listening skills and the ability to ask the right questions.
  • Is experienced in innovation consulting, startups, or product management.
  • Has high EQ and the ability to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Has design experience in digital strategy, branding, advertising, or related fields.
  • Understands design thinking, user research, and conceptual writing.
  • Has strong presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to clients of all levels.
  • Has exceptional understanding and familiarity with research sources/platforms, data & culture.
  • Extremely skilled at distilling observations to uncover true insights and strong strategic platforms.
  • Strong storyteller, along with the ability to spot the story retroactively.

 This role can be performed remotely anywhere in the United States. 

The hiring range for this position is $2,800 to $9,500 per week or $70 to $238 per hour, depending on the position and project. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, specific position held, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s applicable skills, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
