Strategic Sourcing Manager (Logistic) (f/m/x)

in Mars Global Services

Commercial Department

Location: Warsaw/Poznań

Hybrid working

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you’ll own the logistics services category at both local and cluster levels, with an initial focus on the Central European Cluster—while keeping the door open for broader impact.

In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise to develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies that drive long-term competitive advantage, optimize costs, and ensure top-tier service quality. You’ll build strong supplier relationships, foster operational excellence, and lead standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across regions and segments.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Design and implement sourcing strategies for logistics services, leveraging Mars’ frameworks and tools.

  • Actively contribute to the Regional Category Team, driving best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Lead contract negotiations and implement local and regional agreements, ensuring optimal pricing, volume rebates, capacity, and service levels.

  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.

  • Utilize a variety of sourcing approaches, including negotiation, e-procurement, and tenders/RFPs, to optimize costs and service quality.

  • Build deep category expertise, providing market and financial insights to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with global and regional sourcing strategies.

  • Influence cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving business impact.

What are we looking for?

  • University Degree (Business, Procurement, Supply Chain related).

  • 5 + years of experience, ideally in logistics procurement within FMCG, but we also welcome relevant experience from other industries.

  • Expertise in logistics, procurement, or both, with a willingness to grow in either area.

  • Strong negotiations skills, confident in managing contracts, engaging with suppliers, and influencing stakeholders across the business.

  • Proven sourcing experience within logistic area.

  • Ensure the team drives procurement process improvement and standardization, agree with clients and ensure their implementation to drive overall efficiency and effectiveness of Commercial processes.

  • Fluency in both Polish & English is mandatory.
