The Opportunity:

 As a CACI Strategic Operations Planner (SOP), you will facilitate and coordinate all aspects of the operational level planning, synchronization, and integration of capabilities in support of USSOCOM. The planner will interface with senior levels of USSOCOM and consult with all the staff directorates to analyze specified USSOCOM capabilities and develop options for the command on future investments. They will have a comprehensive understanding of the operations of the USSOCOM Enterprise and leverage compartmented intelligence to understand threats to future USSOCOM operations. The planner will keep both USSOCOM and CACI management/leaders abreast of issues, risks, and accomplishments. The planner will also take part of operational planning teams from the USSOCOM staff to analyze specified capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with USSOCOM J8 to analyze current and future capabilities and their operational effectiveness against peer adversaries.
  • Support the development of operational planning teams to conduct comprehensive, thorough analysis on specified capabilities.
  • Work with DoD, IA/IC, TSOCs, and GCC’s to gain a comprehensive understanding of the operational environment, and threats to current and future operations to analyze USSOCOM capabilities and support its integration.
  • Travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations, to support engagements with stakeholders, the IA/IC, and to conduct Key Leader Engagements (KLEs).
  • Support the presentation of decision briefings to the USSOCOM CDR, DCDR, J8 and other senior leaders at USSOCOM.
  • Support, utilize, and assist with staff functions that support operational requirements such as: Mission analysis, briefing, and assist ongoing daily operations in the headquarters.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance, willing to submit to a Poly.
  • A bachelor’s degree and seven years of experience or ten years of relevant work experience.
  • More than three years of specialized experience in military or IC compartmented activities (IJSTO, SAP, ACCM, etc.).
  • More than three years of specialized experience in Information Operations support (Planning/Intelligence) and/or SOF operations support.
  • Be deployable to the required theater of operations, usually conducting periodic travel within CONUS and short-term to OCONUS locations.
  • You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Be able to provide daily feedback to the team lead and supported unit on product development.
  • More than three years of experience with SOF, SMU, and Special or Technical Units of Federal, State, or Local Law Enforcement.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), including mission analysis, COA decision and CONOP approval briefings, D3A execution matrices, CONOP documents, and FRAGOs.
  • Working knowledge of ACW and C5ISR and/or other emerging weapons or threats.
  • Experience and capability to perform tasks with Microsoft productivity software and applications.
  • Practical understanding of Microsoft SharePoint, Google Earth spatial analysis software, and web-based intelligence tools and databases available through SIPR and JWICS.
  • Must be able to work independently with some government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.

This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$85,800 - $180,200
