About the Role
The Elsevier GSN team is seeking an exceptional individual to join us as the Chief of Staff & Strategic Networks Project Manager. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in shaping organizational effectiveness and impact; overseeing critical projects, and ensuring seamless coordination across departments. Our ideal candidate possesses good communication, statistical, and project management skills. This position requires teamwork, willingness to learn, and effective multitasking abilities. This role supports the operationalization of activities within the wider Research Networks group.
Responsibilities
Managing high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines.
- Streamlining communication channels and processes to enhance cross-functional collaboration.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure project success.
- Overseeing / driving annual strategic planning process in collaboration with Elsevier's product and sales teams
- Compiling strategic outcomes and inputs from GSN team; including SalesForce support
- Working with the Elsevier finance team to maintain and monitor budget expenditure reporting
- Creating and maintaining an archive of presentations for Elsevier leadership engagements
- Coordinating activities of the GSN Associates team across APAC, UK, and EU
- Supporting Elsevier senior leadership with client briefings and analytics presentation
- Identifying trends and changes in academic research communities; and in government policies
Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Comfort level with statistics and data visualization software
- Aptitude for project management
- Strong interpersonal skills; an effective team player who can collaborate with a wide range of constituencies
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadline-driven projects.
- Strong interest in data science, the research enterprise and scholarly communication.
- Experience supporting senior leaders with high level engagements
- Enthusiasm for working in a global company with key stakeholders in multiple regions
