Strategic Finance Business Partner
Adyen is looking for a Strategic Finance Business Partner to join the Strategic Finance team within Group Finance. Our team is organized across regions and commercial pillars. As a Strategic Finance Business Partner you will be a key partner working with our commercial teams and other stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support (long-term) strategic planning and decision-making. The Strategic Finance team has a global presence in the United States, Singapore, Brazil and Amsterdam. This role is a full-time position in Amsterdam and reports into the Team Lead of Strategic Finance.
What you’ll do
- Build strong collaborative relationships with (commercial) leadership in the business to define and drive (financial) strategy, aligned with Adyen’s long-term growth drivers;
- Provide insightful analysis of financial and non-financial metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, translating these into actionable recommendations;
- Support and challenge business cases and strategic projects initiated within business, leveraging data-driven financial insights to ensure robust decision-making;
- Contribute actively to Adyen Group Finance’s financial planning process and OKRs, collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve our shared objectives.
Who you are
- 5-7 years of experience as a Strategic Finance Business Partner, Business Controller or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced, global, and multinational environment.
- A strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to seamlessly balance long-term strategic vision with effective short-term execution in a complex, dynamic and evolving business landscape.
- Highly data-driven and possess a strong ability to translate complex financial and non-financial data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
- You possess a high degree of self-motivation, ambition, and a hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit, thriving in environments with a degree of uncertainty and a drive to shape the future.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with multicultural teams across the EMEA region and different time zones.
- While not mandatory, familiarity with SQL or other data analysis tools would be a strong advantage.
