About our Team
You’ll be at the forefront of transforming how science gets done — putting cutting-edge AI tools and world-class research databases into the hands of faculty, researchers, and university leaders who are driving the world’s most important discoveries. This isn’t a routine sales role. It’s a chance to shape the future of research.
Embedded with a Regional Sales Director, the Deal Coordinator owns the end-to-end execution of mew business and renewal deals from Agree to Closed-Won. You act as a member of the sales team: your pipeline is the deals after case creation, and your job is to get them across the finish line, on time. While Account Support, Operations, Legal and other teams each own part of the process, you hold holistic responsibility for everything it takes to close a deal.
Key responsibilities
· Own the pipeline of all deals at the Agree stage: maintain up-to-date information on status and risks and resolve delays and blockers.
· Update expected close dates and provide reporting to inform the sales forecast.
· Lead pipeline review meetings with sales, account support, legal and operations colleagues to resolve or escalate issues.
· Serve as the expert on the holistic order-to-cash process — who does what across account support, legal and operations; the points of contact and escalation paths for Field, Inside, High Touch and Low Touch; and what needs to happen at every step and who must be consulted.
· Pursue deal-level escalations daily and record every step in Salesforce and Chatter for full transparency.
· Ensure all deal information is complete and accurate, and respond promptly to questions from Account Support, Operations and Legal.
· Obtain and provide missing information such as Bill-to / Ship-to details, IP ranges, authentication and previous agreements.
· Obtain, document and share approvals in advance and throughout the process.
· Provide feedback to account support, legal and operations colleagues on process improvements, and represent Sales at feedback sessions.
· Support the roll-out of Polaris and AI-driven process improvements within the team, where applicable.
Requirements
· Have bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
· Have2–3+ years in sales operations, deal desk, sales support, order management or a comparable coordination role, ideally in a B2B, SaaS or solutions environment.
· Experience with Salesforce (or a comparable CRM) and a solid working knowledge of the quote-to-cash / order-to-cash process.
· Able to manage multiple live deals simultaneously without losing track of status, owners or next steps.
· Display exceptional organizational and project-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
· Display excellent written and verbal English communication, and confidence coordinating across sales, legal, finance and operations.
· Are a proactive problem-solver who chases blockers to resolution rather than waiting to be asked.
Valued Experience:
· Experience supporting inside, field or enterprise sales teams.
· Familiarity with revenue-recognition principles and contract or order processes.
· Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and stakeholder presentations.
· Additional European languages.
