WFXR in Roanoke, Virginia, is looking for an experienced Digital Sales Executive to join our team.

We serve Roanoke, Lynchburg, the New River Valley and surrounding counties, with digital reach across the world.  As a member of our team, you’ll work with businesses to find out what makes them unique and help craft creative plans to share that information with our digital audience to help their businesses grow and thrive.

Job Description for the Digital Sales Executive:

  • Implements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
  • Establishes credible relationships with local business community.
  • Prospect, qualify, close, and grow NEW business.
  • Makes sales calls on prospective clients.
  • Prepares and delivers salesa presentations to clients.
  • Continue to learn and implement new strategies and products.
  • Explains to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible. Be an advocate for our products and programs.
  • Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media.
  • Work with creative services in the production of client’s creative elements for digital advertising campaigns.
  • Responsible for order entry, contracts, follow-up, and collections.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Minimum of one year experience in digital advertising and sales
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing basics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and basic office equipment required.

Skills Required
