Job DescriptionWe are looking for a high-potential internal candidate to step into a Senior Account Manager role within our Business & Financial Services Team, with accountability for both new business acquisition and growth across existing strategically important clients.
This is a growth-focused commercial role for someone who has already demonstrated strong sales capability and is ready to operate with broader ownership, greater strategic visibility, and deeper client impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for winning new clients across priority sectors, while also expanding Experian’s presence within existing accounts by identifying new opportunities, strengthening senior stakeholder relationships, and unlocking long-term commercial value.
The role calls for strong commercial judgement, curiosity, resilience, and a proactive growth mindset. It also requires the confidence and credibility to engage senior decision-makers, lead value-based conversations, and translate client needs into meaningful commercial outcomes for Experian.
Key Responsibilities: New Logo Growth
- Identify, target, and convert net new clients across agreed priority industries and strategic market segments
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and close
- Develop and execute targeted growth plans by sector, account, and opportunity to unlock new logo wins
- Maintain strong prospecting discipline through outbound outreach, networking, market mapping, and industry engagement
Grow Existing Strategic Clients
- Identify expansion, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities across existing strategically important clients
- Build focused account growth plans that increase share of wallet and broaden Experian’s relevance within the client
- Strengthening relationships across senior stakeholders, decision-makers, and buying centres to create new routes for growth
- Partner with clients to understand business priorities, commercial challenges, and emerging opportunities, aligning these to relevant Experian solutions
Lead Strategic Client and Sector Conversations
- Position Experian credibly across priority sectors through strong market understanding and commercially relevant client engagement
- Build sector insight that supports differentiated conversations and stronger opportunity creation
- Map target accounts, white-space opportunities, and stakeholder landscapes across both prospective and existing clients
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and client needs, working closely with Sales Specialists to shape and convert growth opportunities
Deliver Consultative, Value-Led Selling
- Lead commercial conversations that focus on solving client challenges and creating measurable value
- Identify client pain points, strategic priorities, and growth ambitions, then connect these to the most relevant Experian solutions
- Articulate commercial value, business outcomes, and return on investment in proposals and client engagements
- Work cross-functionally with solutions, products, delivery, and leadership teams to develop compelling propositions and support conversion
Pipeline & Performance Management
- Build and maintain a robust, high-quality pipeline, using Salesforce consistently to track activity, opportunity progress, and next steps
- Maintain strong forecasting discipline, deal hygiene, and pipeline accuracy across all active opportunities
- Operate with a high level of ownership, accountability, and bias for execution
- Review pipeline performance, conversion progress, account growth, and strategic priorities regularly with the sales manager and wider leadership
Qualifications
- A current Senior Account Manager, Account Manager, or comparable internal sales professional with a strong record of commercial delivery
- Someone ready to step into a broader role with responsibility for both new client acquisition and growth within existing accounts
- Strong commercial acumen, growth orientation, and the ability to identify, shape, and convert opportunities
- Credibility and confidence in engaging senior client stakeholders in strategic, value-based conversations
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform, with disciplined pipeline and activity management
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with resilience, consistency, and follow-through
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across sales, solutions, delivery, and leadership teams
- A proactive, self-managed approach, with the confidence to take initiative and maintain momentum independently
- A strong internal reputation for ownership, collaboration, and consistent execution
