Shape the Future of Smart Delivery in Japan

Packcity Japan is redefining how people receive parcels in one of the world’s most advanced and demanding markets. As the operator of Japan’s largest open smart locker network under the “PUDO” brand and a joint venture backed by Quadient’s global Parcel Pending platform, we sit at the intersection of technology, logistics, retail, and urban lifestyle innovation.

We are now seeking a Strategic Account Manager to play a pivotal role in expanding Japan’s out-of-home delivery ecosystem. This is a high-impact, senior role for a commercially astute leader who thrives on partnership, innovation, and long-term value creation.

As Strategic Account Manager, you will work closely with strategic partners across e-commerce, logistics, retail, and adjacent industries, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in smart locker and out-of-home delivery solutions.

From identifying latent customer needs to shaping and executing complex commercial initiatives, you will lead business development efforts that improve consumer lifestyles while delivering sustainable growth for Packcity Japan. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders—both internally and externally—to take projects from concept through to successful execution.

This role offers a rare opportunity to innovate locally in Japan while contributing to solutions that can scale globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solution consulting for out-of-home delivery and smart locker innovations
  • Build and execute strategic partnerships with key industry players
  • Develop and manage senior, C-level relationships and lead complex negotiations
  • Create and drive revenue plans, tracking progress against clear KPIs
  • Lead contract negotiation, execution, and ongoing partner management
  • Represent Packcity’s solutions, achievements, and vision internally and externally
  • Influence and lead across functions, working with cross-functional project teams

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in strategic partner or channel business development
  • Proven success in complex, strategic commercial negotiations
  • Strong track record of C-level engagement and relationship management
  • Experience building revenue plans and managing performance against targets
  • Strong analytical, financial, and decision-making capabilities
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English
  • Experience or exposure to logistics, parcel delivery, retail, or public-sector environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
