What You’ll Do

You will lead the design, implementation, and management of the firm’s object storage infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of object storage technologies and cloud-based solutions, with a focus on ensuring data availability, scalability, and security. Specifically, you will:

• Develop and implement object storage architecture and strategies to support business requirements and scalability.
• Oversee and optimize object storage systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement robust security measures to protect data integrity and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Monitor storage performance and make recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Design and implement integration and automation solutions to streamline operations and improve storage management.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure adequate storage resources are available to meet future demands.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex storage issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless operations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage configurations and processes and provide training and guidance to junior team members.

What’s required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in storage engineering, with a focus on object storage solutions.
• Expertise in object storage technologies such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, or OpenStack Swift.
• Experience with cloud storage platforms and services.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Strong understanding of storage protocols, data protection strategies, and security best practices.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
