How you will contribute
You will:
- Provide leadership and strategic guidance to the accounting team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of financial processes and procedures;
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with local accounting standards, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance;
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals, to maintain accurate financial records;
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting and tax regulations in Kazakhstan and ensure necessary updates and adaptations to internal policies and procedures;
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth and successful audits, providing required financial information and resolving any identified issues or discrepancies;
- Reconciles sub-ledgers to general ledger and performs other related account reconciliations; evaluates accounts for legitimacy and balance substantiation.
- Defines new general ledger accounts and ensures proper maintenance of the organization's chart of accounts.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls, including segregation of duties, to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud or misappropriation;
- Identifies potential compliance issues and recommends solutions to upper management.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, and consultants, ensuring effective communication, cooperation, and compliance;
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the finance and accounting team, fostering their professional growth and ensuring a high level of performance and engagement;
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial and accounting processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

- IFRS reporting experience
- Ability to work with big data, being attentive to details and figures
- Strong analytical skills
Education / Certifications:
- Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Technical or Mathematics
Job specific requirements:
- Professional qualification and accreditations (ACCA, CPA, CFA, ADIT, ACA or DipIFR) preferred
- Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, SAP, Bank-Client)
- English (Intermediate)
