The Role
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Review monthly statutory reports (statutory trial balance, electronic accounting, etc.), following policies and work instructions
- Supervise the job performed by the Statutory team (internal and external consultants)
- Identify and manage any potential improvements to simplify and automate the preparation of financial information
- Professional interaction with other Adient stakeholders on statutory matters , as well as provide guidance on local accounting topics to other members of the organization
- Partner with the Tax team (compliance, customs, transfer pricing), in regular activities and tax planning projects
- Fully support in the compliance of the CFS Policy, approving and preparing LG adjustments in the Region (Mexico, Argentina and Brazil)
- Lead the statutory audits, being a point of contact to ensure adherence to timelines
- Preparation and review the annual bridges accordance with the SoX Control FR-14 AS well as its presentation to management
- Ability to present and drive/lead conversations with higher levels in the organization
