Role Description
FNZ provides an opportunity to gain unparalleled experience working for an organisation with a unique combination of both retail technology and financial services at one of the fastest and most successful companies in the global FinTech sector.
Working within the FNZ Investment Static Data and Pricing Function you will be responsible for the setting up and maintaining of all financial instruments in FNZ’s clients asset universes. The team is also tasked with monitoring end of day prices, ensuring alignment of financial instruments across various FNZ propositions, including alignment of tradability of the instruments in relation to market and supporting other Operational teams. You will be working closely with various market vendors. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work within different teams located across Europe helping you to develop and gain all the skills and knowledge you need to progress in your career.
Working as a Static Data SME you will be responsible for providing specialist support and advice within the Static Data and Pricing Team which is responsible for the maintenance of asset universes and end of day price accuracy across a broad range of financial instruments (Shares, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Derivatives, ETFs, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
- SME; Expert on the various financial instruments. Understanding of their key features and ability to solve complex problems and downstream impacts of instrument set up. Ensuring strong control framework within the team. Experience in working with various market vendors (ICE, SIX, etc.). Analysis of static data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Stakeholders: Maintain strong working relationships with Third Party Custodians, External Fund Managers and internal teams to maintain up to date asset universe as per our client set ups.
- Client: Interact with key clients on a regular basis and actively work to reduce the number of outstanding queries and issues
- QA & MI; Support manager in reviewing work and production of MI to demonstrate effectiveness of controls within team
- Process Improvement & Documentation; Drive forward ideas from the team to improve the existing operating process and periodically review procedures to ensure completeness
- Development; Keep up to date with market changes and developments that impact the team
- Participate on the creation of training plans and the training of newly joined members of the team
- New projects/clients; help to prepare for onboarding of new clients or processes from operations point of view including operational specific testing.
- Technical; maintain technical understanding of platform functionality and operations, end to end view of the process and platform for team
What we are looking for
- Significant experience in a senior Static Data/Asset Data role, ideally within a platform environment
- Detailed knowledge of the financial instruments
- IOC / Investment Certificate or working towards it or willing to obtain
- Knowledge of equity markets, exchanges.
- Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with SQL would be advantageous
- Ability to analyse, present and report complex information to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
