About the Role
As a Stakeholder Manager with a strong background in rail systems and extensive experience in rail projects, you will play a vital role in fostering relationships with key stakeholders, managing expectations, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve project success.
This role is instrumental in delivering high-profile rail projects in the Middle East region and below is a snapshot of what would make a good candidate for the position:
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between project teams, clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication across all parties.
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies to address diverse needs, priorities, and concerns.
- Facilitate regular meetings, workshops, and briefings with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Identify potential risks, conflicts, or issues in stakeholder relationships and develop mitigation plans to maintain positive engagement.
- Support project teams in securing approvals and agreements from regulatory bodies, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure all project activities align with stakeholder requirements, project specifications, and regulatory guidelines.
- Promote sustainable, inclusive, and innovative solutions to address stakeholder concerns while supporting the project’s technical and strategic objectives.
Your requirements to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree (BEng) in a relevant engineering field such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in stakeholder management, with significant exposure to rail systems and large-scale rail infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of rail systems, multidisciplinary coordination, and civil engineering principles.
- Proven track record of effectively managing complex stakeholder networks in the context of large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Ability to navigate and manage regulatory, technical, and cultural complexities within the Middle East region.
