Staff Software Engineer - Enrichments EMEA Team
Why We Have This Role
 
Our Enrichments EMEA teams creates and manages critical data services that transform raw inputs into enriched, actionable data powering key business functions and provide customer data observability.  We seek a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across Go, Python, Java, and Scala services. This person will drive technical vision, influence multiple teams, and solve complex problems impacting platform architecture and business outcomes. If you get energized by driving technical strategy and mentoring others while working hands-on, this role offers you that opportunity.

  • You proactively lead across teams to define, plan, and deliver ambitious technical initiatives with high business impact.

Things You’ll Do
  • Drive architecture and design decisions on core enrichment services critical to company data infrastructure.
  • Lead large, cross-team projects from inception through production, removing blockers and managing dependencies.
  • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, influencing technical growth and increasing team effectiveness.
  • Define technical standards and best practices for multi-language backend development (Go, Python, Java, Scala).
  • Collaborate with product, data science, and platform teams to align technical delivery with strategic goals.
  • Identify and mitigate technical debt and operational risks through proactive system improvements and automation.
  • Influence capacity planning, fault tolerance strategies, and service reliability best practices.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale backend systems and driving cross-team engineering efforts.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing reliable, scalable distributed systems using at least two of Go, Python, Java, Scala.
  • Demonstrated leadership in setting technical vision and influencing engineering culture beyond your immediate team.
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers and leading technical discussions across organizations.
  • Strong background with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and automation.
  • History of driving improvements around system reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
