Position Summary
We’re building the internal developer platform that powers Kaseya’s engineering teams. In this role, you’ll build and maintain the paved roads, tooling, and infrastructure that enable developers to ship faster, safer, and more consistently. You’ll work across cloud infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, security, observability, CI/CD, and developer experience to deliver reliable self-service engineering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- • Build and maintain paved-road templates and golden paths within the Backstage Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
• Provision and manage Amazon EKS clusters across development, staging, and production environments on AWS.
• Design and manage AWS networking, including VPCs, CIDR allocation, VPC peering, site-to-site VPNs, and Transit Gateway.
• Support Central Inspection Hub onboarding and implement secure egress controls.
• Build and maintain observability capabilities across metrics, logs, and traces using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, VictoriaMetrics, and OpenSearch.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Kargo.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform/OpenTofu, following an infrastructure-as-code and GitOps approach.
Required Qualifications
- • Strong hands-on experience with AWS networking, including VPC design, CIDR allocation, VPC peering, Transit Gateway, and site-to-site VPN.
• Strong Kubernetes administration experience, including cluster management, RBAC, pod identity, and Amazon EKS.
• Experience building or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform, with Backstage experience strongly preferred.
• Strong GitOps and infrastructure-as-code mindset, with a focus on automation and eliminating manual processes.
• Ability to work effectively across cloud infrastructure, security, networking, and developer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- • Experience with Backstage plugin development.
• Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Envoy.
• Experience setting up or integrating SSO and identity providers such as Zitadel or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with OIDC and modern identity and access management patterns.
• Experience operating observability platforms using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, VictoriaMetrics, or OpenSearch.
