Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will work with the Accounting Manager to ensure the financial close process is completed timely and all related reports, analysis and reconciliations are also timely. Additionally, this individual will assist with other duties and projects such as process enhancements, internal controls monitoring, SOX documentation, competitor benchmarking, accounting literature research, and acquisitions, and other duties or projects as required. Essential Functions:

  • Executes on assigned areas of the monthly financial close process, including monthly analysis, reporting and communications

  • Prepares, reviews, and posts general ledger entries where necessary for above functions

  • Prepares and or approves monthly account reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts as required

  • Assists with the successful completion of the quarterly reviews and annual external audits

  • Partners with other finance and non-finance areas of the business in research and analysis

  • Assists with external auditor requests and SOX compliance

  • Directly assists with special projects and analysis while continuing to create efficiencies

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.

  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role.

  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 1-3 years of accounting experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with functional knowledge of MS Excel

  • Strong communication skills; positive attitude

  • Team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment.

  • High accuracy with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines, and provide timely results

  • Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

  • Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Required to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus
