This individual is responsible for the company's execution of accounting operations following established accounting principles, accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports.
The role is on site in our Cleveland OH location.
Your Impact:
- Enter and report A/R receipts into insurance policy administration software. Prepare monthly remittances, as required. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations. Support preparation of month end-closing reports. Interpret the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements.
- Provide accounting support to ensure appropriate compliance with business requirements; Assist with documentation of workflow between multiple operating systems and the accounting software.
- Review and support the maintenance of general ledger for accuracy. This includes reconciliation of certain balance sheet accounts; Recommend improvements, adaptations, or revisions in the accounting system, transactions, and procedures. Consider the need for new or changed controls.
- Prepare for client, carrier, or insurance audits and participate when required.
- Work on Accounting related projects. May lead or coordinate activity of other lower-level employee work under the accounting department.
Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance; 2-5 years of general accounting experience.
- Financial software and other relevant PC Microsoft office skills required at an advanced level; Excel Power User-Advanced Proficiency Word
- Self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines

At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including, for eligible employees, medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings. Also, for eligible employees, the Company offers 10 to 20 vacation days depending on experience and generally offers 11 paid holidays and 5 half days, depending on the calendar year. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay for this position is $65,000.00-$75,000.00 plus discretionary bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
