Staff Accountant

Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

Your Impact:

• Enter, balance, and post all daily cash, ACH, check, and credit card deposit and generate and send out customer invoices; age analysis; review AR aging to ensure compliance
• Follow up with customers regarding open balances, via account statements and payment reminders and perform new customer credit checks and establish customer payment terms
• Support month-end and year-end close process and prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, providing information for auditors.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• BS degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred); 2+ years corporate accounting experience in a relevant industry; thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, such as Dynamics 365 – Finance and Operations
• Advanced MS Excel skills including SUMIF’s and VLOOKUP’s
• Some light travel possible
