The Staff Accountant will be responsible for independently performing general accounting functions for Origence and Subsidiaries. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, supporting month end close activities, preparing and recording various journal entries in accordance with GAAP, analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts, performing bank reconciliations and providing support for various Accounts Receivable tasks.

How You'll Contribute:
Responsible for general ledger and month-end closing:
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts related to prepaid expenses and other miscellaneous entries.
- Prepare various expense allocation entries and expense validations for consultants and contractors.
- Bank account and credit card reconciliations.
- Support Accounts Receivable functions
- Perform back up duties in account payable and finance and operating leases.
Reporting and other special projects:
- Conducts financial studies and analyzes and prepares accompanying reports within Excel, D365, and Power BI. To be performed for Origence and Subsidiaries.
- Brex expense report lead for all questions regarding expense policy and system functionality.
- Other special projects and general accounting duties.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Education
- B.S. Degree in Accounting or related field
Experience
- Two years general accounting experience with increasing responsibility
- Understanding of all accounting functional areas including general knowledge of GAAP.
- Ability to read and understand financial statements.
Your Strengths & Expertise
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical skills.
- Must be self directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced professional environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of ASC 606 a plus

Recognizing Your Impact
For this full-time role, the starting salary range is $70305 - $77600 per year. Our compensation is designed to be competitive and to reflect the value, experience, and contributions each team member brings to Origence. Offers are usually not made at the top of the range, and each compensation package is assessed carefully based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location, in compliance with applicable laws.
