Summary:

As our Staff Corporate Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial health, accuracy, and operational integrity of our corporate finance division. Reporting to the Corporate Finance Manager, you will take ownership of essential accounting functions, from driving standard month-end closing procedures to delivering high-level general ledger reconciliations, financial analysis, and acting as a vital internal liaison to support senior management decision-making.
Leadership & Core Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & GL Integrity
- Month-End & GL: Execute standard month-end closing procedures and prepare corporate general ledger entries to ensure accuracy.
- Reconciliations: Analyze and reconcile GL accounts, investigate variances, and propose corrective adjustments to maintain data integrity.
Operational Analysis & Reporting
- Operational Analysis: Assist with specialized inventory calculations (E&O, variance capitalization) and annual physical counts.
- AR & Treasury: Prepare accounts receivable bad debt analysis and manage daily, weekly, and monthly cash reporting.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Partner across finance teams to ensure timely submissions and prepare financial reports for Senior Management.
Position Requirements:
Education & Technical Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of progressive corporate accounting experience (Big 4 public accounting preferred).
- Industry Domain: Proficiency in financial modeling and operational accounting.
- Compliance: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) to comply with corporate and ITAR site regulations.
Certifications & Competencies:
- Core Competencies: Embraces Aptiv’s ACE values (Accountability, Collaboration, and Empowerment). Strong problem-solving skills, detail orientation, and ability to blend logistical data with financial analysis.
- Systems Proficiency: Expert Microsoft Excel skills required. Experience with ERP systems, consolidation software, and tools like Planful, SmartView, Salesforce, ADP, Syspro, and QMS is highly valued.

Total Rewards & Compensation
- Total Rewards: $85,000 – $105,000 per year. Includes comprehensive benefits package (health coverage, 401(k), paid time off).
