Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Principal Objective
Assists in maintaining the general ledger and preparation of financial statements for Beacon Bank. Ensures accounting records are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Ensure the accuracy of accounting records by performing account analysis, preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of assigned General Ledger (GL) accounts.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for all the accounting associated with fixed assets and prepaids
- Prepares monthly general ledger reconciliations. Investigate and resolve variances, errors or missing data.
- Preparation and entering of journal entries into the GL system, along with demonstrating proper documentation
- Ensures strong internal control over GL uploads and journal entries, in addition to performing maintenance
- Monthly variance analysis review, including review of account activity and transactions, including providing in-depth analysis as requested to ensure accuracy of general ledger
- Assists in preparing regulatory and SEC reporting schedules and providing supporting documentation, as requested
- Performs ad hoc general ledger analysis and reporting as necessary
- Assists in preparation of internal and external audit requests
- Maintains accounting and reporting policies and procedures
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field
Experience:
- 0-2 years related experience
Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of banking functions and operations
- Excellent and effective communication skills, both written and verbal and proofreading skills
- Strong aptitude with Microsoft office products, specifically Excel and Word and Outlook
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to accomplish tasks with limited supervision, prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to visualize changes required for specific solutions
- Ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently on a daily basis; requiring strong organizational skills, initiative and good judgement
- Willingness to work overtime during peak periods to ensure reporting deadlines are met
