Foley is looking for a Staff Accountant to support and strengthen our accounting operations. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role will assist with core close activities, build strong reconciliations, and help the accounting team continue to scale.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to build on their strong foundation of GAAP fundamentals while learning from an experienced team in a high-volume high-energy environment. You'll perform core accounting operations and develop skills and business knowledge to take on more.
What you'll doSupport Core Accounting OperationsPlay an important role in month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and analyzing account activity
Perform monthly cash reconciliations and account reconciliations
Assist with revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting under the guidance of senior team members
Support audits by maintaining accurate and organized documentation and analysis
Leverage AI and other tools to continuously improve accounting processes
Suggest and implement improvements to internal controls and documentation
Contribute to a reliable, high-quality operating rhythm on the accounting team
Analyze data and enhance reporting to support business decision making
Partner with teammates to ensure information is accurate and complete
You have a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
1-2 years of accounting experience, including internships
Solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic data analysis)
Curious to develop a deep understanding of our business and industry
Clear communication skills and eagerness to collaborate across teams
A proactive mindset and strong follow-through on assigned tasks
Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite, GP, or similar platforms
Coursework or interest in process improvement or workflow automation
Progress toward or interest in pursuing a CPA
Familiarity with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition guidance compliance
