Job Description:

This is a senior level position in application/system engineering.
Responsibilities include defining switch mode power supply IC products, developing reference circuits, writing datasheets and application/design notes, and providing application support/technical training.

Job Functions:

  • Define, develop and promote switch mode power supplies such as buck, hybrid buck, boost, and buck-boost topologies for automotive applications. 
  • Work closely with customers to comprehend system level requirements identifying opportunities to add value to these systems
  •  Technical expert leading product development working closely with design, applications, packaging and field engineers
  • Bring quick resolution to customer questions, and other support needs
  • Provide application support and technical training for key customers and field application engineers
  • Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and papers in magazines and conferences.

Requirements:

  • MSEE or higher required
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in switching power supply designs
  • Solid academic knowledge of switch mode power supply control theory
  • System level modeling with Simplis and Matlab
  • Fluent communication skills in English, with excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Previous experience with functional safety products is a plus.
  • Previous work experience in a power supply manufacturer or power management IC company is preferred
