Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Systems Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to:

  • Solve complex engineering problems, identify best-of-breed applications, and implement technical solutions.
  • Evaluate, design, install, upgrade, secure, monitor, and maintain Application Infrastructure per Visa standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure all the security gaps identified by Visa Cybersecurity are fixed within the allotted time.
  • Remediate the security findings on the applications, databases, and operating systems and provide the solution to the team.
  • Position reports to the Foster City, CA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 2 years of experience in job offered or in a Sr. Systems Engineer-related occupation.
  • Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Shell scripting.
  • Application Server administration, as well as HTTP Server administration.
  • Apache Tomcat and Oracle WebLogic.
  • Apache HTTP and Oracle HTTP.
  • Oracle Database or MS-SQL Server.
  • SOA Suite 12c including OSB.
  • Oracle Manage File Transfer (MFT) Software.
  • Azure Cloud Administration.
  • Jenkins and GitHub.
  • SSL Renewal and upgrades.
  • Oracle Integration Cloud and Oracle JMS.
  • ITIL Process Knowledge.

Additional Information

Worksite: Foster City, CA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $118,789.00 USD to $176,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
