Position Description
Handle day-to-day wealth management application operations and production support specialized in the equity trading systems, settlement systems, Internet trading, as well as company website. Supporting user requests such as data extraction query, reports update and workflow updates and other internal systems’ requests.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Responsible for providing first line application production support for wealth management business.
Manage, resolve and investigate production system issues and follow through the cases, mainly focused on securities, futures and stock options trading systems, including Internet trading channel, mobile app and etc.
Laisse with vendor and in-house development team to implement IT solution
Plan and execute internal testing for system upgrade with documented result as according to company standards and procedures.
Involved on enhancements for in-house developed programs like SQL query or update.
Assist in user acceptance test and execute system deployments.
Manage system upgrade or new projects for applications handled by the team, according to change management and company policy
Perform rotated health check and maintain the system stability and availability for local and global markets.
Provide phone or remote support in non-office hour in case required.
Requirements
Degree holder/above in Computer Science or related discipline(s).
8-10 years experience in application support on trading systems ( Sharp Point, TTL is advantage)
Working experience in investment bank, brokerage or system vendor is an added advantage.
Sound knowledge of equity / futures trading and settlement system functionality, bank transfer, operation flow, HKEx and global market connectivity (direct or via execution broker) are preferable.
Experience in dealing with end users and system vendors, problems solving and troubleshooting production issues for the systems are preferable.
Exposure to other technical skills and application infrastructure e.g. FIX, Windows schedule, application monitoring or reporting is preferable.
Knowledge in SQL and scripting is an advantage.
Knowledge in DB2 is an advantage.
Experience in using bug or issue tracking systems is added advantage.
Good analytical and presentation skills.
Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
Team player, responsible, independent, self-starter, motivated, multitasking and able to take initiative to get projects completed.
