Sr Strategic Sourcing Spec

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist reports to the Electronics COE and is responsible for delivering systematic component data analysis to optimize productivity and support supply chain decisions. 

The role involves leveraging AI tools and platforms such as Supplyframe and Teamcenter to enhance component lifecycle management and pricing strategies. Key duties include leading component data consolidation, managing lifecycle databases, and integrating Supplyframe and Teamcenter to improve product cost and lifecycle. 

This role is also responsible for tracking pricing trends and is expected to support sourcing strategies through market research and risk assessment. 

Success in this role is measured by expanded component tracking, faster response times to component assessments, and effective collaboration with regional sourcing teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead consolidation and assessment of historical component data.
• Manage the component lifecycle database to improve product lifecycles and reduce costs.
• Oversee the expansion of Supplyframe and Teamcenter integration.
• Own the regular Request for Quote (RFQ) process and track historical and forecasted pricing.
• Provide comprehensive component database management, including country of origin/destination (COO/COD), manufacturing resilience, age/end-of-life (EOL) status, and compatible components.
• Expand component tracking to include Electricals, EMS, and Mechanical components.
• Drive AI tools and process implementation.
• Support market research and intelligence gathering.
• Assist in sourcing strategies, including buying channels and buffer inventory.
• Conduct material data research aligned with Global Business Excellence(GBE) needs.
• Collaborate with regional and GBE sourcing teams

Qualifications

You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain within the electronics or semiconductor industry.
• Strong data analysis and analytical skills
• Strong analytical knowledge and experience working with sourcing tools and systems (e.g., SAP, e-sourcing platforms)
