- Design and build robust, scalable REST APIs and backend services with a strong focus on performance and reliability
- Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows to support data-driven applications
- Architect backend systems with effective caching strategies, load management, and high availability in mind
- Collaborate closely with data, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions
- Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and drive adoption of engineering best practices
- Contribute to architectural decisions across backend and data platforms, ensuring scalability and maintainability
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS, Glue, or similar services)
- Proven experience designing and building REST APIs
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational/non-relational databases
- Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines
- Familiarity with API and system scaling, caching patterns, and distributed architecture
